The vast majority of our behavior is habitual. As much as we feel like we are thinking throughout the day, and making conscious decisions, much of our activity is driven by deeply ingrained habits. The question is, how did these habits form? The answer lies in our subconscious mind. This is the non-thinking mind. It faithfully carries out mental commands just like a computer obediently follows digital code.
The subconscious mind is largely programmed before the age of 6 or 7 years. In these early stages of development, the conscious mind is not fully developed, and therefore our environment has direct and unhindered access to the subconscious. This explains why we speak the language we do, why we like the foods we like, why we dress…

It’s that time of year when the days get shorter and people need a BOOST: to get to the gym, to put down that cookie, to stick to their plan!

How do you get up in the dark, when it’s cold? Sure you don’t WANT TO.

Gotta be honest, NO ONE WANTS TO at first.

Action precedes motivation!

One of my Favorite quotes of all time. What does it mean?

It means that we don’t MOVE out of the motivation we feel, we MOVE and then feel motivated. We ACT first. And honestly, motivation doesn’t even show up right then.

We DECIDE
We create a PLAN
We form habits
We see results
THEN motivation comes.

Most people assume it will happen the other way around.
